MeanCactus had a night to remember with 4 wins from 4 games - very well played. BentHuskyBullfrog came second with an excellent performance, losing only to MeanCactus. In the Open section, it was a return to the top for RichSmoothPanda, securing victory with two draws and two wins. GlumSuddenBacon was second on tiebreak following 3 wins and a loss. With a group of four players on 2.5/4, rafcalum took third place on tiebreak. Well played to all.

This evenings chess problem comes from the game between BentHuskyBullfrog and MeanCactus which ultimately decided the outcome of this event. In the position below, white is free to take the Bishop on b5 with his Queen, but why should he not use his own Bishop to take this piece?
